Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Vale of Glamorgan Council, Adult Safeguarding Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:

• Adult Safeguarding team require an experienced Social Worker to carry out functions in line with the Social services and well-being act and Wales Safeguarding procedures
• Involve working remotely but the Social worker must be willing to undertake visits and attend meetings in person as required, the ability to confidently and effectively manage their own work load with little direction is essential
• Main purpose of the role will be undertaking the role of 'Lead Co-ordinator' and therefore the ability to effectively chair meetings and maintain positive relationships with other agencies is key
• Have a sound knowledge of the Social Services and Well-being Act, Wales Safeguarding procedures, Mental Capacity Act and Human Rights Act
• Champion a Human Rights based approach to Safeguarding Adults at Risk ensuring the Adult is central to the process adopting a strength based approach
• 36 hours per week(flexible by negotiation)
• 2 Month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
