Job Description

Qualified Duty Social Worker, Flintshire Council, Childrens Initial Response Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:


• Predominately deal with all the initial local Child Protection enquiries, initial Court applications and PBRA
• Workers are well rehearsed in managing the most complex and diverse Child Protection enquiries, with us taking some pride in the team being a robust but stable team
• Majority of the referrals are processed within a timely manner by the individual workers identifying closure of the case, Care and support services or progression to ICPCC, indeed something that will be expected of the new worker
• Written Section 47 enquiry documents would be expected to be completed to a high standard with much detail and analysis when looking and identifying the risk to children and young people
• The resilience and support between the staff group is impeccable especially when working under pressure
• Liaise with other professionals
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
