Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Trafford Council, Childrens Permanence Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:


• Working with Children in Care you will be a confident and ambitious worker, contributing to our journey on restorative relational practice
• Looking for someone who can adopt an innovative approach to supporting children's social care and ensure continuity of care to our vulnerable service users
• Have a sound knowledge of legislation relevant to this post and demonstrable insight into the issues facing children, young people and families
• With strong communication and assessment skills, you will have the ability to develop effective working relationships with families and colleagues from various agencies
• Ability to write clear and concise reports, to maintain case records and to fulfil administrative requirements is essential
• Able to prioritise, meet deadlines and problem solve on a daily basis
• Liaise with other professionals
• 37 hours per week(flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
