Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Independent Reviewing Officer, St Helens Council, Looked After Childrens Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team
Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team
The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager
The responsibilities will include:
• To chair Looked After Children meetings, Child Protection Conferences and other Safeguarding meetings
• To develop and ensure good and consistent practice for Looked After Children and Safeguarding
• To provide consultation and advice on all Safeguarding and LAC issues
• Children subject to Court proceedings
• Liaise with other professionals
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful Qualified Social Worker candidate will need to hold a Degree or equivalent must be registered with Social Work England, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
