Job Description

Qualified Senior Social Worker, St Helens Council, Children's Assessment Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:

• Service carries CIN, CP and Children we Look After including Court Proceedings - private and public
• Team is mixed in terms of experience and caseloads are allocated to reflect this
• Manage CIN, CPP, CLA, Court Proceedings, Assessments, working within a team but also being able to work independently
• Caseload varies but is around 20 - 24 children
• Currently all staff are working from home due to Covid 19 however when in the office they would be within a team of 5 social workers, Advanced Practitioner and Manager.  The current working arrangements are supported by appropriate technology which allows video calls and the Managers are ensuring daily meetings with the team
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
