Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Warrington Council, Adults Assessment Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:

• Completing timely community Care Act Assessments using a strengths based approach with a range of adult service user groups including older people, mental health, learning disability, physical disabilities etc
• Significant experience of conducting S42 (safeguarding enquiries)
• Completing mental capacity assessments in accordance with the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
• Experience of assessing risk and recommending proportionate risk management plans in crisis situations
• Experience of managing a demanding case load with the ability to work at pace and prioritise autonomously and effectively
• Liaise with other professionals
• 36 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 2 Month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
