Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Warrington Council, Children In Need Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team

Our client is looking for a qualified Social Worker with 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children’s Social Work team

The team work extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager

The responsibilities will include:

• It's an exciting time to be joining Children Social Care in Warrington, as we’re in the process of implementing a new approach to social work
• We’re investing heavily in our social work teams, ensuring they’re equipped with effective evidence based approaches to work with children and families, ensuring caseloads are manageable, and ensuring all our social workers are provided with strong reflective supervision
• As part of our new approach we’ve created a number of new teams across our services. This means we now have a number of social work vacancies across our Children in Need and Permanence Services

• Assessments
• Child Protection work
• Care Management
• Manage a case load
• Home Visits
• Court Work
• Liaise with other professionals
• 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
