URGENTLY REQUIRED - TEAM MANAGER!
The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent
must be registered with the GSCC, have a current CRB and be a car
driver.
If you are not a GSCC registered Qualified Social Worker with a
minimum of 3-4 years UK Post Qualifying Social Work experience, you
are not eligible for this role, so please do not apply!
The roles and responsibilities will include:
• Locum Team Manager with extensive knowledge
and experience of Adoption to manage the Adoption Service until a
Permanent appointment can be made
• Manage and supervise a group of social work
and related staff within the team
• Budget responsibility for allocated budgets
and to manage those budgets within departmentally agreed
guidelines
• Ensure the provision of an assessment of the
needs of children and families and to arrange, and where
appropriate provide, services to meet the identified needs of those
children and families to a level which is consistent with
departmental standards and expectations
• Maintain links with other relevant
organisations in order to promote multi-disciplinary and
multi-agency working together
• Ensure that all practice is sensitive and
appropriate to meet the needs of children and families within the
locality and particularly that service are applicable and
acceptable to traditionally disadvantaged groups
• Ensure that the Department's policies as laid
down by statute, resolution and the Directorate are implemented
Child Protection work
• Care Management
• Liaise with other professionals
• 37 hours per week (flexible by
negotiation)
• 3 month Temporary Contract
• Start date subject to CRB and reference
clearance
