URGENTLY REQUIRED -DEPUTY HEAD OF CHILDREN CENTRE!
The successful candidate will need to hold an NVQ3 in Health & Social Care and Recognised Qualification in Early Years to level 3 and management qualification (e.g. I.L.M. Cert. In Management) or equivalent, have a current CRB and be a car driver.
If you do not have a minimum of 12 months UK experience relevant to this role, you are not eligible so please do not apply!
The roles and responsibilities will include:
- Relevant experience in managing integrated services including multi disciplinary teams
- Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and policies affecting children, young people and families including the sure start agenda
- Experience and transferable knowledge of partnership working
- Experience of development planning and managing change
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- Produce reports and presentations in a professional and accurate manner
- Experience of delivering early years care and education including the birth to three framework and foundation stage
- Knowledge and understanding of Ofsted requirements
- Experience of working with family support models of intervention
- Ability to communicate and deploy consultation methods effectively with a wide range of people including children
- Ability to assess service needs, analyse information and deploy resources effectively to meet identified need
- Experience of budgetary and resource management
- Knowledge and understanding of performance indicators and effective monitoring tools
- Experience of using IT such as word processing, data bases and spread sheet
- Assisting the District Heads of Centre in ensuring the delivery of the SSCC core offer
- Completing a development plan, building a portfolio of evidence, setting up systems for collating, documenting and analysing data
- Prepare Care Plans and assist in the assessment of their progress
- Prepare & present reports for case conferences and reviews
- Liaise appropriately with colleagues and other professionals
- Some out of hours work
- Home Visits

- 35 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
