AWR Exemptions
Exemptions to the legislation may include, but is not limited to, the following:
- People engaged through a managed service company (those who are supervised by the 'supplier' rather than the 'hirer')
- Genuinely self employed contractors
- Individuals where there is no comparable job role in an organisation (though they would still get the same entitlements on for example holiday if there is a company wide policy) Someone who is deemed a 'professional' i.e. Doctor, teacher etc. Can be exempt from the legislation
